“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
Galatians 6:9 NIV
it’s times like this, moments of • (forced) reflection• of stillness, maybe not peace but something close that I think of my Pops. He was such a level headed guy, blessed with incredible leadership skills, down-to-earth and one of the hardest working men I’ve ever known in my life.
I didn’t know it then, but now when I think back on my life, my childhood, teenage years, and 7 short years of adult life I had with him, he reminds me of a stately redwood tree, or now: one of the ever-flowing never ceasing Icelandic waterfalls. Such consistency, such grace under pressure.
Uncertain times call for people to step up and do the next right thing, to be kind because you never know what the people you’re going to run into are going through, look for the helpers, look to those who put everyone’s needs in front of their own.
If he were alive right now, I have no doubt he would be stepping up and stepping out to do whatever was necessary to help and do the next right thing.
